About Lost Weekend
Lost Weekend dropped on August 14, 2026, her third album and the first in six years. It's about grief, love, disillusionment with fame, and the death of her father, and it's dedicated to him. Never Going Back! has a voicemail from him over a banjo, and Still Standing is described as the heart of the record. She announced it with Lost Boys on June 24, and previewed it in planetariums, which is a very Phoebe move.
She recorded it from 2024 to 2026 at Sound City, Electric Lady in New York and Tamarind in LA, with Ethan Gruska, Jack Antonoff, Tony Berg and Alex G producing alongside her. Bo Burnham sings on The Outside, Bobby and Never Going Back!, and Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker are on Haunted. The title track samples Paul Lansky and interpolates Damien Jurado, and The Governor's Waltz is a waltz that nods to her Governors Ball set in 2021. Ambient music influenced the writing.
Best Dressed is a bonus track, and there's an acoustic Lost Boys. With both that's 18 songs, about five minutes.
