Ashton Irwin Song Sorter

About Ashton Irwin

Ashton Fletcher Irwin was born in Hornsby, New South Wales, on July 7, 1994, and he's been behind the kit for 5 Seconds of Summer since late 2011, when Michael Clifford messaged him on Facebook to come play with him, Calum and Luke. Fifteen years later the band's still going - their sixth album, Everyone's a Star!, came out in November 2025 - but in between he's made two solo records that sound nothing like the band. He sings them, co-writes and co-produces every song, and he's directed some of the videos himself.

Both albums are in here, Superbloom and BLOOD ON THE DRUMS, plus his cover of Nirvana's Heart-Shaped Box. The whole thing takes about nine minutes, so you can easily do it in one sitting.

Short on time? Superbloom takes about two minutes on its own.

Nothing's switched off by default. Heart-Shaped Box sits under Covers in Filters, so turn that off if you only want his own songs.

One tip. Don't overthink the first few picks. Your gut is usually right, and the sorter does the maths - if you change your mind straight away, hit undo.
