Teenage Dream Song Sorter

About Teenage Dream

Teenage Dream dropped on August 24, 2010, and it's the biggest thing she's ever done. It was recorded between October 2009 and April 2010 with Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco, Tricky Stewart, Stargate, Greg Wells and more, with Ryan Tedder, Rivers Cuomo and Greg Kurstin among the writers. Will Cotton painted that cover - the cotton candy clouds, the cupcakes - and it set the whole look.

California Gurls with Snoop Dogg came first, then Teenage Dream, Firework, E.T. and Last Friday Night. All five hit number one in the US, which made it only the second album ever to do that, after Michael Jackson's Bad, and Katy was the first woman. The One That Got Away stopped at number 3, which feels almost rude. The album debuted at number 1 with 192,000 copies, has sold over 12 million worldwide, and is Diamond-certified in the US.

It got seven Grammy nominations across the album and its singles, including Album of the Year. My vote for the best deep cut is Circle the Drain, and I'll hear arguments for Not Like the Movies too.

The Deluxe tracks - Part of Me, Wide Awake and Dressin' Up - come from Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection in March 2012. Part of Me debuted at number one, and Wide Awake got to number 2. Starstrukk and If We Ever Meet Again are on the Features list instead.

It's 15 songs and about four minutes to sort. Good luck with the top of this one.
