About Juno

Juno dropped on October 15, 2021, and it's named after her French bulldog, who she adopted in lockdown and who sat in on every writing session. She told The Guardian he was "my partner and my witness". She wrote it in the pandemic, moved three times, and in the summer of 2020 she checked into rehab for her drinking.

Solomonophonic co-produced almost all of it with her, and she told NME "I did produce all these songs whether or not I was touching the computer." Liquor Store was the first single, in July 2021, and it's about that summer.

Anthony Kiedis sounds like an ode to the Red Hot Chili Peppers singer, but NME called it a bittersweet love letter to her family. Quiet On Set is, in her words, "fucking insanity", and she's called Street You Live On "as close as I get to a sad song". It got an 85 on Metacritic.

Juno (Deluxe) came out on June 3, 2022 and added Fired, Cake, Liz, Michael and Sugar. Fired and Sugar were written just before she started on the album, and Cake and Michael just after it came out. PinkPantheress sings backing vocals on Cake.

Eighteen songs with the deluxe tracks on, about five minutes. Compare it with Big Ideas.
