About You Signed Up For This

You Signed Up For This dropped on 27 August 2021, her debut album, on Ed Sheeran's label, Gingerbread Man Records. She'd signed with them that June. She said signing was "a dream come true" after she "grew up inspired and in awe of Ed."

She started writing it in summer 2020, living away in a cottage. Psycho was the last song they finished, and it's one of three songs she co-wrote with Ed. She wanted something "fun and big," that "we could dance to." Done.

John Hughes Movie was the lead single in February 2021, inspired by Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles and everything that she, "a small town English wannabe Molly Ringwald," wanted to be. Brooklyn was inspired by her twin Ellen, and it came out with the title track as a double A-side. Elvis Song borrows from Always on My Mind.

It went to number two in the UK and was the top seller in UK independent record shops that week. John Hughes Movie and Psycho were her first songs on the UK singles chart, and it has a Metacritic score of 84.

Fourteen songs, about three minutes.
