About Zephyr

Zephyr, her first EP, dropped on May 23, 2018, a year after 88rising signed her. Vintage and Dancing with the Devil came out the week before as a taster.

She produced most of it herself. Scott Storch produced Say My Name, and she wrote Dancing with the Devil with KC Knight. She said she built the songs around young people's love stories because that's what everyone can relate to.

It's an R&B record, and it got her the "R&B princess" label. In 2020 she told NME, "In the beginning I was so obsessed with being this 'R&B princess'. That was bestowed upon me immediately." She's spent every record since proving she's more than that, which makes this one fun to go back to.

Eight songs, about a minute. Pools is the one for me.
