HADES Song Sorter

About HADES

HADES dropped on March 27, 2026, after she wiped her socials in January and came back with a new character. This time it isn't Cry Baby. It's Circle, "a new pop star out of 'Hades Tech', who has been extracted from a secluded cult". It's also only half of the story - in June she said the second album is called ELYSIUM, and "it's a utopian reference, so it's the other part."

"I started this album thinking I was writing a futuristic dystopia," she said, "I realized I was just documenting the world we're already living in." She's called it "a cracked mirror", with every song a different trap. Octavia E. Butler's Parable of the Sower was one of the inspirations. CJ Baran co-wrote and produced most of it, and she wrote WHITE BOY WITH A GUN and BATSHIT INTELLIGENCE by herself and plays guitar on both. Malay worked on UNCANNY VALLEY.

POSSESSION came out of nowhere in January and became her fastest-streaming song ever. DISNEY PRINCESS is about how women get sold. UNCANNY VALLEY was the last song she wrote for it and is, in her words, the album's central theme - what social media and tech do to how we see beauty and ourselves. There's a men's choir on THE VATICAN, AOL messenger sounds on CHATROOM, and the whole thing runs over 70 minutes.

It debuted at number three with 84,000 units and went to number one on the rock and alternative albums chart. Then came HADES: The Sacrifice, her second arena tour.

Eighteen songs, about five minutes. It's the biggest sort here.
