About Willson

Willson dropped on September 6, 2024, after more than a year away. She'd moved back to Nashville, gone to therapy, and spent her time gardening and painting. Her surname finishes the trilogy, and when she hesitated, FINNEAS told her to go for the "triple crown".

A writing session with Suki Waterhouse got her going again, and Please don't fall in love with me was the first song written for the album. Collin Pastore and Jake Finch, boygenius's producers, made it with her. It was her first record without a label: she paid for it herself, directed her own videos, and signed and shipped the vinyl from her basement.

Running Out Of Time was the comeback single, and she called it "very Springsteen-esq inspired". I Wanna Love You (But I Don't) and I hope you die first came out together a month before the album, and the closer is just called Ashe. She's described the whole thing as "coming back to yourself after losing yourself". Her first show back, in June 2024, was a guest spot with Niall Horan.

Pushing Daisies, the duet with Suki Waterhouse that came after, is in the singles. Twelve songs, about three minutes.
